Joe is a curious, relatable, and energising performance psychologist with experience across elite sport, business, and education.

He is passionate about making psychology simple and impactful, supporting clients to define who they want to be, where they are going, and how to get there with greater clarity and confidence. Sessions with Joe are collaborative and tailored to your unique style. He blends structure with flexibility to ensure clear progress while staying open to new opportunities and challenges . Ultimately, Joe is passionate about helping people to live more fulfilling lives, explore their potential, and enjoy the process along the way. Shaped by his experience across multiple countries, Joe strives to bring openness, perspective, and a splash of humour to his work.

Joe is currently developing mental skills and resilience programs for GB Men’s Hockey and a US national-level program. He also works with individuals across a wide range of fields, from Premiership Rugby players and elite athletes to trainee firefighters. Through his research on the psychology of resilience, Joe has become especially passionate how we can support people to grow and thrive in the face of challenges. Recognising this as a skill that can be learned, Joe is energised to bring the latest evidence-based tools to life in ways that help clients to become more robust people and performers.

Previously, Joe has worked with teams like Hong Kong Rugby Sevens and GB Ultimate, helping players and staff to develop mental skills in areas such as performance under pressure, building confidence, self-awareness, and navigating fear of failure. He had also led culture-building work in business, focusing on values, identity, and togetherness. Beyond this, Joe contributed to one of the UK’s leading school-based psychology courses, which has helped thousands of young people in developing the mindset to thrive. Before re-training in Psychology, Joe worked in strategy for global sporting organisations such as FIFA, European Rugby, and the International Ski Federation. His work took him across Switzerland, Spain, and Australia, bringing a diverse life experience that helps him connect with people of different cultures and perspectives.

Based in Spain, Joe tries to make the most of an outdoor lifestyle. Whether it’s running, hiking with his Dog Lumé, or getting schooled by the infinitely more skilful Spanish footballers. He also sings and writes, although the quality is debatable. If Joe wasn’t working in psychology, you’d probably find him doing weird and wonderful physical challenges with his mates in various places across the world. This speaks to his love for testing his limits, connecting with others, and having fun along the way.
